Fire up those turntables: The readers of Psychedelic Sight are serving up some of their favorite albums again, on a scroll.
The latest readers choice list ranges from the usual suspects — Jefferson Airplane, the Moody Blues, Donovan — to the unexpected — the Butthole Surfers, Tiny Tim, the Sufis and John Martyn. The 1970s make a surprisingly strong showing, with half of the titles.

The readers choice lists of psychedelic albums and songs are designed to bring other voices to PsychSight’s main lists of top songs and albums. So much good stuff. Do give the Spotify playlist a spin; grok some unusual sounds.
There are now more than 120 albums (and 120 songs) on the readers lists.
Thanks to all of the readers who took the time to nominate and comment. You can too … just click the nominations link on PsychSight’s lists of the top psychedelic albums and top psychedelic songs.
Fine print: If you’ve nominated a selection and it seems lost in the ozone, it may be because the album already is listed. If the album appears somewhere on the six pages of the readers’ lists, then consider your nom another vote for that title. If the song already is on the PsychSight list of 50 great psychedelic albums, then, hey, at least we’re in sync. And some MIA nominations are good to go, they’re simply awaiting the next list.
