The readers of Psychedelic Sight are back with another round of their selected albums.
The readers’ picks list of 15 long players ranges from the tried-and-true — the Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, the 13th Floor Elevators — to the fringes: J. K. and Co., Felt and Nick Garrie. (This is the fifth volume in the readers album series.)
Listen whilst you ponder the crowd-sourced wisdom: The new selections are available for sampling as a Spotify playlist, with 29 earworm tracks across 2 hours. This time it’s a bit mellower than usual, so be prepared to chill.

There are now more than 100 albums on the readers lists — well done, folks.
Thanks to all of the readers who participated. You can too … just click the nominations link on PsychSight’s lists of the top psychedelic albums and top psychedelic songs.
Fine print: If you’ve nominated a selection and it seems lost in the ozone, it may be because the album already is listed. If the album appears somewhere on the five pages of the readers’ lists, then consider your nom another vote for that title. If the album already is on the PsychSight list of 50 great psychedelic albums, then, hey, at least we’re in sync. And some MIA nominations are good to go, they’re simply awaiting the next list.
James Ponder
Big Brother and the Holding Company’s “Cheap Thrills” should be near the top of (the top albums) list. James Gurley, the father of psychedelic guitar, provided the tones and riffs while Janis moaned and wailed. Doesn’t get any better!
